  1. Another wonderful set of photos. I passed Lille-Europe few times on the Eurostar to London or Bruxelles from Paris. Next time I must stop there!

  2. Happy Birthday, dear one. I hope it was a wonderful holiday. Lille is lovely, they even had a bouquet of tulips for you. You've shown us so many sides of the city. Thank you. And I see now that you like Halloween very much. I thought it was an American thing but I see now I am wrong.

And thank you for sharing these lovely photos with us again. The architecture, both old and new, is gorgeous and the Halloween decorations are cute. I love the funky tulip sculpture!

  6. A very happy birthday, Leia! It appears that you had a great time in Lille! So many fun and funky and just plain great photos.

One thing about the French: they build serious buildings and sculptures but they never get to serious they can't have a heck of a good time; as your pictures show!

    Thanks for sharing!

From your photos, you must be about…let's see 25?

  16. a very happy birthday to you!
Looks like a nice place to visit. I really like the overgrown flowers art and the signs. Looks a bit chilly…I remember travelling all over Switzerland in fall and winter and being cold but having a blast. I would recommend Salzburg for Christmas eve & day (unless you are heading home to warmer climate.)
PS – wasn't that young guy with the tatoo a hunk – it was that which caught my eye. 😉
