  2. Very nice looking sculptures. I particularly like the middle one because it shows the material out of which it was sculpted. It certainly gives me an appreciation for the art and skill of the sculptor.

  3. Very funny and a bit bizzare, but I like them all. They make cities prettier, don't they?
How are you today Leia? Here is still cold and dull and I can't wait to see sun:(

  6. I like the setting and most of the statues, at least they have a vague resemblance and respect for the human form. The second image, and statue, is my favorite.

  7. Central Bank of Luxenburg is a nice building, and the art is fascinating. I like the lettering or sign on the exterior of the building. Very posh and modern. Nice post.

  8. Rather strange and yet interesting sculptures at the Central Bank. I think the nude is most appropriate, 'cause usually when a bank gets through with you, you're lucky to be left with the clothes you're wearing!

    Cool photos!

We lost the Internet yesterday due to strong storms, so I'm a bit behind…hope all is well there!

And yes, Leia, Curves is a women's spa thingy. You're welcome to come visit and run with Lois!

  9. Wow, Leia! I'm assuming you wrote that beautiful piece of poetry on The Villages DP…it is wonderful and works perfectly with the photo! You are so very talented and I thank you for sharing your feelings as well as your talent in such a delightful form!

  10. Hi again…you asked about the building on Stone Creek…

It's not a house, but part of a large complex called the Reunion Center. What you see in the photo is the indoor swimming pool, sauna, locker rooms, etc., and just next to that is the “spa” or gym with every kind of exercise equipment you could imagine.

To the left of this building is the outdoor resort pool and that leads to the larger complex with an auditorium, library, offices, rooms for various clubs to meet, billiards room, etc.

    I think you'd like it a lot.

The female image on the right reminds «Louis» of the pictures of women in Brittany in the 19th century with the enormous “beehive” hairdos on which they would show off the lace they had knit.

  12. Sculptures are a passion of mine. These are wonderful. For a person's heart and hands to create something out of a piece of stone, or marble! Incredible talent and lovely photos! Thank you my friend for sharing these. Have a great weekend!

  13. These are great and very interesting. I bet it looks pretty fancy inside of the building. Maybe even more statues.

  14. A escultura de cima (direita) só pode ter sido inspirada em 'Las Niñas' de Velasquez. É giríssima! 🙂
