  4. Beautiful shots of the magnificent castles. When I was younger I could see living there but now I fear I'd just get lost or too tired walking from one room to the other. Now that sounds pathetic, ha. Happy mother's Day Léia! I hope you have a good one.

  7. Is a castle like an ivory tower? Maybe an ivied tower?

These are delightful buildings. I was going to ask what they were used for, but you answered my question so I'll just say that I would have no problem living there provided there are golf courses nearby and good restaurants and rivers and lakes and lots of interesting shops. 🙂

Oh, a maybe a moat or two – you know, to keep out unwanted two-legged critters! Heh, heh!

Hope you're having a wonderful day. And a very Happy Mother's Day to you, Leia! You have a beautiful family!

  9. A fantastic place, very beautiful! I would love to see the living spaces inside and wondered if there are individual apartments? Can you imagine someone saying, “Oh yes, I live in a castle”. How amazing that would be but I think I would happier living in a small cottage instead but still enjoy taking pictures of these marvelous castles. Happy Mother's Day my friend.

  11. I think turning them into apartments is a brilliant way of breathing new life into these beautiful (but expensive to maintain) castles! Wonderful.
