Cinematheque Municipale – Luxembourg

More than 13,000 films from all genres are the Cinémathèque
of Luxembourg, one of the largest film archives in Europe.
The funds include some rare films of which there are only one or two copies,
and almost all the filmographies of directors like Fritz Lang,
Howard Hawks, Alfred Hitchcock, Raoul Walsh, Jean Renoir,
Orson Welles Douglas Sirk, Samuel Fuller, Max Ophuls, etc.

  1. A very interesting place, I'd love to visit it. I am happy to have quite a collection myself…

  2. I think I would be drawn to walk the streets and photograph instead of watching movies. The landscape is too beautiful!

  3. Way cool! I'm not a big movie person, but I can sure appreciate the effort it takes to properly archive all those films in their original formats!

  4. The streets there are beautiful. I, too, would want to wonder around taking pictures all the time. Your cities seem to be much cleaner than some of ours here in America. I do believe I see some graffiti on the one wall, though.
    Beautiful location.
