Bridge at Rue de Liège – Durbuy, Belgium

The city of Durbuy is situated on the banks of the river Ourthe.
View of the bridge at Durbuy Castle.
Unfortunately the castle is private property and cannot be visited.

  1. Imagine the castle being private property. Imagine having to pay for the amount of maintenance property like that would require.
Still, the photos are beautiful and it would be interesting to visit the town.

  2. It's too bad you can't visit the castle. I bet it's spectacular inside. The bridge is very quaint. I wish you a wonderful Sunday!

Bon dimanche !

  6. I really like the first shot. It is well composed and the grey clouds go well with the sombre castle.

  7. Well you and Cezar need to become friends with the owner, so we can see the inside 😉 Spectacular castle. I can't imagine living in something as grand as this!

  8. I think your photos would be wonderful on the cover of a gothic novel! Moody and mysterious is this castle.

And I love the way you composed this with that first shot leading us up to the castle and then, wow, we get the whole thing in one shot!

No, I wouldn't want to live there, either, but I would like to visit…alas, private.

Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
