  3. The first photograph is great. The roof work is so well captured.
Good to see how the house was elevated from the ground. Could have had some reason for doing that.

  4. I love this architecture, it's so beautiful!
There is Norvegian wooden church, similar to the one in your first photo in Karpacz in Poland. I don't quite remember why it's there, but I love it:)
    Have a beautiful evening!

  5. I was completely taken by your first picture, another interesting reportage from a place I do not really know…

  6. The first photo is stunning and the second is beautiful.
The next ones made me realize that northern nations with plentiful forests have developed remarkably similar building techniques. Except for the roof tiles, the picture of the horse between two buildings shows log construction almost identical to the techniques used by early settlers in Canada and the northern US states. Today, man-made logs are being used to re-create the feel of cabins from the 1700s and 1800s.

  7. This is such different architecture from what I'm used to. The craftsmanship and skill are both wonderful. The buildings all look made strong enough to withstand some long, cold winters.

  8. Such museums are ones that I will actually go to, and learn from. I haven't visited this one, thought it looks great! Reminds me of when I visited the Historiska Museet and Skansen, both in Sweden, which are focused on similar ideals.

    Cheers!
