  1. Quite nice Queen posting! I met Rune from the Drammen Daily Photo blog in Oslo this summer and we took some photos in front of the Norwegian Royal Palace! Fun to catch up on your blog!

  3. I think I like Queen Sonja's palace the best because of the pale yellow, but they are all so beautiful!

  4. I remember watching the changing of the guard at Amalienborg Palace on a very hot day in 2005.
I think I may have seen the same at Buck House but I was too young at the time to remember any details.

  5. The Queens Palaces are so large and imposing. Great choice for ABC Wednesday, but I think I will stay in my lowly home instead. I think its a lot more comfortable.

  6. The one in Norway is my favourite. I could live there! Provided of course there are enough cleaners, gardeners and other personel!

  8. It never occurred to me that queens would have their own websites so that was fun to explore. Your photos are exquisite, especially as a “set.”

  9. What magnificent palaces. I'll bet there are rooms there that they haven't been in for years, or ever. No such rooms in my castle.

  10. Lovely pics of these beautiful Palaces ~ my favourite is Buckingham Palace. I spent about 5 hours inside that lovely place last year & it was so…beautiful. I didn't want to leave.

  13. Dear Leia – you are the Queen of Q's. Super collection of Queen's dwellings. Excellent perspective on each! I had a chance to go thru the Buckingham palace in 2007 – the Queen was not in residence so they allowed tours of the public rooms. It was very interesting that after seeing some of the luxury of 5 star hotels, the palace was splendid but not overly luxurious for today's standards.

  14. A triumphant trio! It was fun seeing them together in order to see the architectural similarities and differences, as well as the varying levels of grandeur. Good idea..
