  1. This is an amazing cathedral and its beauty defies its age. Your photos show much of the art and embellishment added over the centuries. It appears that Aosta has some spectacular buildings. Thank you for taking me to this “new” place full of treasures!

  2. Oh my gosh…
The paintings and frescos in your photographs are just like soft, inviting music to me. I am invited in. Test your brushes, Mr. Lincoln, give us a new crown of gold leaf. I just can't imagine the work these people did once upon a time. It is so nice. I hope they were paid well for their work and not like Michelangelo who had to bed for money for his work in marble and including the Sistine Chapel. I have a copy of a letter he wrote asking to be paid. And when he wasn't he took off for other venues and worked there. You guys have the gift of a lifetime, being able to see the most famous sights in the world.

I do appreciate your visit to my blog and the comments you left. I do not get to see you as much as I would like to. I try to visit everyone but as I get old I seem to slow down more and the recliner is a perfect place to snooze away time this winter. Thanks again.

  3. Belissimas pinturas… kurti.

e como hoje faltam apenas 666 dias para o ARMAGEDDON achei legal visitar uma igreja, se as multidões entrarem em panico vou mandar todos correndo pra cá…

  4. It is a shame I have never visited Val d'Aosta. Thank you for reminding me this with a beautiful church.

  5. There is so much beauty in your pictures. Wonderful. I love the arches. And I learn so much by following your blog…like the comment from Mr. Lincoln. The world is an amazing place.
Thank you so much for your always kind words of encouragement. Hugs to you also. 🙂

  6. It is difficult for some of us who have seen so little of the beauty of the world to imagine places like this. The art work is so incredible. And it was all done without computers! How did they do that? 🙂

Your pictures are wonderful…lots of light and shadow which often makes photos too contrasty but these are just perfect!

And you are always welcome to come and visit central Florida!

  7. Magnificent cathedral, wonderful works of art, and your photos are so far beyond ordinary tourist shots, they are works of art themselves!
