L’église paroissiale – Esch-sur-Sûr, Luxembourg

The church, in its current form, was almost entirely rebuilt in
1757 on basis of the plan of a former church.
The main altar probably dates from 1678.
The altar dedicated to Mary was canonized  on 13/05/1626.

  2. I'm sitting here smiling…your photos are so nice and so creative and so easy to look at – it's a pleasure.

This is a gorgeous little church…and that stained glass is magnificent. I like the first shot, too, framing that spire against the sky!

May you have a wonderful weekend!

  6. I am always amazed at how a church with a deceptively simple exterior can be so exquisitely lovely inside… love those tinted columns on either side and the stained glass is stunning.

  7. Marvelous, Cezar and Leia. It is simple and restrained by the standards of some churches you have shown us, but it is still lovely and inspiring.

  8. I like the plainness of the wall and the simplicity of the pews in contrast to ornateness of the altar, the lights and the stained glass.
