  1. I am not too comfortable with anything pharmacy-related, but I have to admit that this museum is spectacular!

  2. The building is fantastic and the last couple of shots remind me of one or two old pharmacies in Lisbon. Would love to visit this museum.

  4. The next to last photo brought back fond memories of a visit to a pharmacia in Florence, in which there were so many wonderful terra cotta jugs and jars. The smell was otherworldly. It was called the Pharmacia Santa Maria Novella.

  8. Wow, what an interesting place. I sent a link to a cousin who is a retired pharmacist. He's my mother's cousin, but I think even in his time pharmacists were a little more up-to-date than this.

  9. Your marvelous photographs take us to places we would never see otherwise. May I add that your Doisneu “photo” on your sidebar made me smile. I bought a book of his images in Paris.

  11. It's a little scary to see some of the things that have had a part in our “medications” from the past i.e. that alligator. 🙂
