  1. My goodness…your photos offer so much to take in! The canal must wend its way through the city and canals are always very romantic. The other scenes you've photographed are of great interest: that orangish building must be a church, right? And I love all the statuary. That fountain that looks like a well is very unique and what would a city be without a castle on a hill?

I've not seen a battery-charging station here. A good idea.

Hope that all is well with you! Hugs to you, too!

  2. Lovely place, I planned a trip there a long time ago, but there were troubles nearby. Perhaps it's time to plan again…

  3. Beautiful town. I like the colorful building and all the architecture for that matter. Also good seeing an eco car. There are a number of places to plug in electric cars in my city now.

  6. One of the great things about your blog (besides the photos) is the chance to visit different countries that most people don't get to visit.

  8. What a great photo trip you have brought us and I have mapped this and read now about its history and culture. What a gorgeous place, a crossroads, with a moderate climate. How wonderful that you were able to visit this city.

  9. The Ekomobil caught my eye. I like the idea. I wonder how they would be accepted in America? I don't think we would ever seen them here. Maybe the people in the larger cities could use them.

I also liked your photographs of the places that look like they should be in a magazine story. And you two are living it.

Do you think you will ever move to America or Canada?

  11. Marvellous! The city looks really beautiful and well taken care of. Nice variety of photos.
I remember walking across that bridge in an extremely foggy evening in December in 1989? – I was between trains going from Switzerland to Pula to see my grandmother, and running around doing some shopping. I think I still have a book I got there.
