  1. Fabulous photos- I didn't realise these trees could be found in Europe. Thanks too for the kind words about my Northern Spirit guest posts.

  2. Wow, now this is a rarity! What a fascinating find. I've seen these ancient trees in California, but did not know they can grow in Germany too!

  3. I wonder the age of this beautiful giant. Reminds me of the redwoods in northern California. Seems to me you visited that area once, right?

Nice to hear from you and I hope you're doing well. Love your new profile pic!

  4. I get always a big miss in Germany, when I look at your pictures.
Magnificent trees, they must be very old.
    Have a happy next week.

  5. I love Sequoias!
I grew up close to a grove of giant Sequoias and Cedars over 3,000 years old and very tall in the Sierra Nevadas of California.
I always pray that they will never be destroyed by the many lightning fires that occur each year.

  6. There must be a story here. Years ago I brought a little seedling back to Massachusetts after a visit to Yosemite and planted it in our small back yard. I have often wondered if it is still there!
