Today’s highlights “Isola San Giulio”in Italy

Bonjour beautiful people! Today’s highlights on this magnificent Italian island called “San Giulio” or in Italian “Isola di San Giulio“, what an enchanting peaceful place!

The Basilica of San Giulio, of Romanesque architecture in Novara, on Lake Orta, is splendid. Since 1973 it has been transformed into a Benedictine monastery. The little island, just west of the lakeshore village of Orta San Giulio, can be reached with  private service boats. Along the pedestrian street we can see signs about silence and meditation  quotes in several languages.

Now let’s visit this adorable place with some of my pictures! I hope you all enjoy the tour!

Love and lights,

  1. Dear Leia…thank you for much for sharing these gorgeous photos of this idyllic island. I’ve heard so much about the beautiful of Italy, but you are bringing that beauty right into our homes. I’ll bet one could spend several days wandering those delightful streets and checking out the wonderful buildings – the cathedral and other buildings. Your photography is superb, and each of these shots would make a wonderful postcard.

We are fine and hope you are the same! Best wishes and lots of love to you and your family!
