Hi guys! I proudly present you the city of my favourite Italian wine: Brunello di Montalcino. The town is so cute, you feel like being in a fairy tale! I loved those charming cobblestone streets, truly enchanting! The town is a wonderful place to stroll around among the labyrinth of beautiful arts and crafts shops, cafes, restaurants and wine bars. And if you are a wine lover, you must taste the wine!
We did some wine tasting in Montalcino including Poggio Antico Vineyards. The estate includes about 200 hectares (500 acres) of beautiful woods, fields, olive groves and vineyards. The tour is quite interesting for lovers of Montalcino wine. There are several options of tastings with different combinations of wines and price. Of course we also bought some wine to bring home with us. In 1980, Brunello di Montalcino was awarded the first Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG) designation and today is one of Italy’s best-known and most expensive wines.
