City of Ottawa, Ontario – Canada

Hello guys!

Today’s highlight is Ottawa, the capital of Canada. The city has such a beautiful architecture. The parks are adorable, everything is clean and organized. Also in Ottawa I had the opportunity to see the locks working on the “Rideau Canal“. A  lock is a device used for raising and lowering boats, ships and other watercraft between stretches of water of different levels on river and canal waterways. It is so interesting!  The Canadian Parliament is an impressive building. Its gothic style  is really beautiful! So…let the pictures speak of Ottawa themselves.

I hope you enjoy the tour!

Love and lights,

Léia

Thousand Islands, Ontario – Canada

Bonjour beautiful people!

The Thousand Islands is an international tourism destination, surrounding communities on both sides of the US and Canada border along the St. Lawrence River and the eastern shores of Lake Ontario. We enjoyed a boat trip there in a fabulous sunny day. The nature is wonderful!

The  islands range in size from over 100 km2 (40 square miles) to smaller islands occupied by a single residence, or uninhabited outcroppings of rocks. To count as one of the Thousand Islands, emergent land within the river channel must have at least one square foot (0.093 m2) of land above water level year-round, and support at least two living trees. Impressive!

I would like to share some pictures of this unforgettable place.  Hope you enjoy the tour!

Love and lights,

Léia
