Villa Savoye "A manifesto for modernity", Poissy – France

Villa Savoye was designed by Swiss architect Le Corbusier, one of the leading architects of the 20th century, as the weekend home of the Savoye family. Villa Savoye was built between 1928 and 1931.
By using stilts, Le Corbusier created a “box in the air”construction with its base disappearing into the surrounding grass.

It is currently a “museum,” dedicated to the life and works of Le Corbusier and maintained by the public company Monuments of France, and receives thousands of visits per year, mostly architects and students.
