Landscapes of Iceland

“þetta reddast” these Icelandic words are so positive, it means “it will all work out okay”. When faced with difficulties Icelanders always maintain a belief that things will work out in the end.  🙂

Hello beautiful people! Today I would like to share some pictures from my Iceland trip. It was three nights of stopover in my way to Canada. I had time to see lots of wonderful places with dramatic landscapes, volcanoes, geysers, lava fields, massive glaciers,  waterfalls, stunning parks and I even got an amazing sunshine day on the Reynisfjara, a world-famous black-sand beach! Yes people, sunshine in Iceland…sunshine!!!!!

Icelanders are very kind people and they speak English very well.

Hints: be attentive because the restaurants and pubs may stop serving meals around 9pm. We enjoyed a delicious  dinner at Skjol, a camping site and a restaurant (pub) on the Geysir area between Gullfoss and Geysir.  The restaurant is open until 23:00 but serving meals until around 22:00. Their pizza and fish & chips are great!

Indispensable item to bring with you is a waterproof jacket during the trip! 🙂

Ah eat some Skyr, an Icelandic yogurt, very good!

Hope you enjoy the pictures! Next post I will be showing some images from Reykjavik, on the coast of Iceland, the country’s capital and largest city.

See you soon!
